I wanted to make sure that we could offer people something different. There are already other types of restaurants offering Portuguese or Chinese food, so I wanted to go a different direction without ever stepping on anyone else’ feet.
What we offer is very diverse. Pub wise, we have an excellent selection of Thai foods, an extensive wine list, many special drinks and martinis and, in general, a wide cross section of foods that appeal to specific tastes and possible health concerns that our customers may have.
In an era where health concerns are on the rise, we offer made-to-order selections for those who adhere to medical and/or dietary restrictions. Whether it is salt reduced foods, meals for diabetic customers or vegetarian dishes, the Blue Elephant caters to everyone.
Our menu is varied and we are seeing a lot more people that are interested in more salads and pasta and shying away from too many fried meals. Tasty and healthy, we want to ensure our guests get exactly what they want. Of course, we have the steaks, filet mignons, pork, tenderloin, fish and everything in between.
The Blue Elephant is staffed by 20 employees and also relies on another 10 to assist with its outside catering business. The seating capacity is 360 (with 135 of that in two outside patios).
The Blue Elephant is open from 11:30 am to Midnight Monday to Saturday. Sundays open for special occasions such as Mother’s Day.
