The Blue Elephant Restaurant in Simcoe, Ontario was established in 1992. Over the past twenty years of business, the restaurant has continued to evolve. From a fine dining establishment with white linen to a causal pub, and now, Norfolk's first, and only, Brew House. Heather Pond and James Grant had two simple goals in mind… serving fresh ales, lagers, and pilsners alongside great local food, and to have fun doing it. Ever since we first went on tap, September 2012, our brews have taken off and "they're drinkin' them faster than we're makin' them."
Look for our rotating selection of seasonal brews throughout the year including our Sweet 'P' Ale (using locally grown Pumpkins and Sweet Potatoes) and our Harmony Hive Honey Ale.
Our ales are brewed in traditional European fashion, using only barley, wheat, hops andpure water. And, in accordance with ancient purity laws, no additives or preservatives.
On January 15th we had some very special super secret guests stop by, Mumford and Sons!!!!!
They checked out our Brewhouse and we hoped they were going to make a stop on their Gentlemen of the Road Tour. As luck would have it we got it Simcoe is the second of the five stops on their summer tour. \
The band headlines a two day music festival at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds on August the 23rd and 24th.
Tickets can be purchased at 12-Peel Street in Simcoe or online at www.gentlemenoftheroad.com
They go on sale at 11am and are worth $109-dollars each.
